I am looking for a good condition pre facelift front euro bumper (and brackets if you have them). I am considering using a pre facelift bumper on my 1984 US 733i instead of the facelift euro 745i front bumper I already have so that I don't have a huge euro license plate frame with a US plate. I am not planning on running a vanity euro front plate and don't like how a US plate is going to look in the frame that is built into the facelift euro bumper.
A pre facelift bumper will fit my facelift car, right? Thanks, Steve

I have the same US model; I have a full euro pre facelift on it. I personally had to make a notch on the headlight housing for the pieces that look like this |_| towards the corner of headlight housing close towards fenders. You may or may not have to. Hope this helps.
I am curious to view what you mean on your 745i euro front, so a picture would be appreciated
I don't have a photo. The facelift euro front bumper off my 745i donor car has the license plate mount molded into the air dam. If you mount a US license plate in the space allotted you have big gaps on the sides. I do not want to run a euro vanity plate on the front of this car to fill in the space like many people do. I noticed that the pre facelift euro bumper does not have this molded in license plate mount.
My other option is find a good BBS air dam, which also lack the license plate mount.

No problem, I looked into one and see what you mean. Ugly US square cut out.
Also what sizings are the M Parallel on your e23 and are you using any spacers at all?
These are E38 wheels so 18x8 front 18x9.5 rear IIRC. No spacers. The rear could use a ~10 mm spacer, with a 265/35 it just barely rubs the inner wheel house edge. I am waiting on spacers I just bought. 10mm hub centric spacers that I initially test fit on the rear do not quite clear the 11-12mm long rear hub register so they would not sit flat against the rotor. I just ordered a pair of 12mm hub centric spacers and longer wheel bolts which should clear the hub. I have a set of Dinan coils going on this car and I'm also upping the rear tire size to 275/35 so I need to make sure i have enough room inboard. Outboard there is plenty of room.

For what it's worth, I took the euro bumpers off an '82 pre-facelift grey market car and installed them on my '84 733i US car without having to cut or modify anything in the front.
Thank you Steven! That is what I needed to know. I suspected they would work but it's good to know for sure.
