Looking for suggestions on the best places to offer my 2000 M Roadster for sale. I listed it here a week ago -- hoping to find an enthusiast who will appreciate the car's condition and upgrades-- and that may still happen. But I was wondering where else might be good places to offer it for sale.
I can do Craigslist as Los Angeles is a large market by itself but wondered about places like BAT (Bring a trailer). Apparently BAT insists on an exclusive during the time the car is on their site.
All suggestions appreciated
Thank you very much

It's going to be harder to find a buyer the closer we get to winter. If you want top dollar you may have to wait for spring.
Do you have winter in LA?
CarGurus and bring a trailer
Craigslist, possibly.
Enthusiasts sites, we all ready have one. So can’t see that working.

Listed here first, then craigslist because Los Angeles is a big market (and the listing is free) then based on recommendations here , CarGurus so lets see what happens, thanks again. While I would love to see the car go to someone that truly appreciates the car and what I have done with it, I learned many years ago to sell to the first person that has the money and don't look back....
Thanks Bill
Prurchassd my M Roadster via craigslist.
I was monitoring the various enthusiast sites but to be honest they were mostly over valued by the seller.
Saying this I have seen some great ones sell via some of the fb groups.
Mostly very well sorted cars with a realistic price.
You have a nice car there. Someone will want it.

I'm with magnetchief, I found mine through Craigslist, I did search quite a few cities before i found mine. Incidentally, the ad was due to expire in a day or two before I found it. Good luck!!
I sold my 00 M Roadster last month. I had it on Craigslist and Autotrader. From Craigslist I got a lot of scammers looking to steal my phone number and other nonsense (if they ask you to call a number or something that's the scam. Got the same email wanting to buy the $90 mountain bike I had on Craigslist). I also got a few tire kickers from Craigslist. I was happy to let them test the car etc. to see if it was the right car. That's part of the process.
I ended up selling it to someone in CA from the Autotrader ad.
Should I text the kid in the military who in July said he was on a base out of town and wanted me to hold the car for him for a few weeks until he got back?
If you get a text call the number. The scammers tell you to do a google code 82 or something like that and steal your phone number on a disposable phone. Something like that. Others can chime in and correct me.

I'm too old to learn how to drive an automatic.
Got mine through mroadsterbuyersguide.com link to craigslist. Boris guide site is awesome. Gives you historical sales info and other users opinions and comments.
Mine was few states over. I used online service to do inspection and then flew over to inspect it myself and complete transaction.

CAR SOLD
To a local buyer as a result of the craigslist ad. Sold car with the OEM Roadstars only so I have the HRE Wheels and a Artic Silver hardtop left to sell and will post an ad for those in the near future. Thank you all for your input I appreciate it.
Found my Roadster on the Buyer's Guide, but it just brought me back to you guys! The seller was a member here.
I'm about to toss up my dad's car on CL, but dreading the scammers. Anyone in the market for 645hp SL600 with <16k miles on the clock?

Hi William,
Congratulations on the sale of your roadster. Can you kindly post photos of the HRE's ? I may be interested.
I'm in the Seattle area.
Thanks very much.
Congrats on the sale. I wanted to add that Facebook Marketplace has been working quite well for me in the last few years. Craiglist has gone south.
