I have had my 318iS for a while now, and a short while ago I purchased a Peugeot 406 Coupé.
I like the looks of the Peugeot more than the BMW, but I like the drivetrain and suspension of the BMW more than the Peugeot. Couple weeks of research and CAD later and it looks pretty viable...but obviously
While the BMW and Peugeot share the exact same wheelbase measurings (2700mm or 106 inches) and similar suspension systems makes that almost a bolt-on job, the Peugeot has a considerably wider by 4 inches track both front to back.
Thankfully, this means I can fit the axles between the arches without hacking up the bodywork. But it does mean some end components like the steering arms and rear axle output shafts would be a LITTLE short.
This is where I ask you, the reader, what I can do about this issue.
Now this is a swap! Good luck!
