    SLR Ultra Angle Kit Help

So I知 installing my slr ultra kit and I知 having clearance issues with the front of my fender and bumper. I知 currently trying to thread the bolt higher into the subframe as I was told it would possibly help push back the wheel but it feels like It can稚 go anymore. My car is a 95 m3. Anyone got any suggestions or work arounds besides cutting into my fender and bumpers.

Get a smaller sidewall tire. Or dial in some more camber. Or less spacer.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out, I rotated the lollipop bushings to the center of the car.

They way they sit in the photo makes the arm push too far forward causing the wheel to hit the front fender & bumper. When you rotate the bushing so the mounting hole is facing the center of the car, it pushes the arm back centering the wheel more in the wheel well.

Oh I got my angles mixed up. You're right. I have the adjustable lollipops so I did this instinctively on mine.

aren't you not supposed to run those offset bushings with the slr kit anyway? I could have sworn I read that somewhere. Either way nothing a lower profile tire couldnt fix if you ever wanted to rotate them back

You need to adjust your caster back using adjustable caster/camber plates. This re-centers the wheel in the well.

^ Caster adjustment at the top plate affects the inclination of the damper and has a negligible effect on wheel position.

The SLR tubular arms have the 96-99 M3 balljoint position geometry built in so a centered Lollipop bushing is recommended. Did you rotate the bushing down so the hole is closer to the ground or higher towards the car? This could have a large effect on the anti-dive geometry depending on which way you chose.

Define "negligible." It makes a difference. An adjustment of 1" up top should be good for at least 3/8" at the wheel and that's all you need.

I used offset lollipop bushings and rotated them evenly facing the center of the car (towards the engine on both sides) So pretty much even with the ground and car, if that makes sense. Now I have no clearance issues and it works like a charm. Ran my first event with it and it was solid.
