So I’ve been trying to do some research and reading a lot, and I see so many mixed reviews and opinions on which navigation system seems to be people’s favorite/best....so I’m just wondering if the Dynavin system is still good for an e46? Anyone have any success with the ***** or Avin systems? Or is there a brand name aftermarket system that is hands down better? All opinions are welcome! I’m not too concerned about a budget, I’d like something that is $1000 or less.

This is the wrong sub-forum as you own an E36. That said, the head unit “hole” in the dash is DIN in size.
I own an e46 m3

Ok, your profile needs updating.
The consensus is that the dynavin is an excellent alternative to brand name (i.e., Alpine, Sony, etc.) head units. The consensus is that cheap head units that typically retail for $300 to $400 are a waste of money as they have a lot of issues.
