M50 manifold swap with oil catch can

My question is when doing a m50 manifold swap would I still need to buy the kit or would I just plug the hole like in my s52 manifold? I already did a ccv delete and installed a catch can. I can't find much info on people running catch cans on e36s.

Turbo guys run catch cans and most have M50 manifolds.

I just run a large rubber line from my valve cover to under the car to the ground...no catch can. I see a drop of oil maybe once a year, after the car has been sitting for months

Open air CCV just plain stinks. Personally I would retain an OEM style closed system. S62 oil separator or the custom style supercharger “catch can” I build are easy to integrate. I know you’re not boosted, but it all works the same.

Pull vacuum post MAF (metered side) and drain back to the oil pan.

I have the catch can already set up like you said with it pulling the vacuum and draining back. I just needed to know if with a m50 manifold would I just plug the hole like I did on the s52 manifold or do I have to buy the m50 swap kit?

    What hole in the M50?

The swap kit adds the hole back. The M50 has no CCV port, the hole is for the ICV.

Thank you. I always assumed that the m50 manifold had that same hole in it just from the way the kits looked. That's what I get for assuming something.
