    2004 BMW 525i Coolant Leak/Problem

Hello guys and gals so I am having a major issue with my 2004 BMW 525i it’s also a manual transmission.. I drove from Jacksonville to Norfolk VA so about 9 hrs . Car did fine until the next day i drove for about 5 minutes and my car started overheating . I have already found the problem when I took off the intake manifold and added coolant I can see where the coolant pours right out of a hole forward of the intake manifold . When i first noticed the overheating and checked there was no pipe or tubing missing just a plain old hole with a screw that looks like a inlet pipe would go there .. But i don’t see where the old piping would have came off .. So i ordered a inlet pipe but it doesn’t fit .. Yes it is the model for my car .. any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks All !

Please provide the last 7 digits of your VIN number, or tell us whether you have an M54 engine, or an N52. I'm going to have to guess that you have an M54, and that you need to replace both coolant pipes (plastic), and carefully remove the remains of the old pipes, which are stuck in the cylinder head.

The entire cooling system of your car is due for it's SECOND replacement, including thermostat, water pump, all hoses and plastic pipes, expansion tank, radiator, and coolant manifold.

It's important that you know those pipes have 2 o-rings each, and when removing the old pipes, the pipes always break between the two o-rings, leaving a chunk of plastic, and an o-ring, in each hole. And this always takes some serious fishing, with a pick and a mirror, to get it all out....then cleaning of the residue with sandpaper or a wire brush.

Ah, I see that on your engine, there's a slightly different arrangement: one plstic pipe, split into a "Y", plus a plastic plug. Is this the hole you're seeing?:
