I've searched most threads point to low refrigerant and taking it in for service, which is what I did. They found it to be on .2 lbs low and filled it just a bit but it didn't a discernable difference. We have to keep it on the 60 deg/max cold setting to make it comfortable enough to drive while it's hot out but it never gets cold even with recirc. My 2001 Golf will freeze you out of the car during the same outside temps.

Since the refrigerant wasn't the cause and it's cooling some but not totally, what's next? Other threads mentioned temp switches, auxillary fans, bleeding the cooling system, etc but no one followed up saying any of it worked. I'm used to older vehicles with simpler systems so any direction on where to start/how to isolate it would be amazing. Thanks guys!
