Frankenbuild commences. I'm ripping out my hydrolocked M60 and dropping in most of an M62, creating a hybrid known as M60B44. Since I have to do this twice, I'm wondering if there's a shortcut to pulling off all the electronics and intake plumbing on M6x engines. I've done it in proper steps before and those fuel injector clips are a pain. The M60 intakes and electronics are going onto the M62 so they can stay in the engine bay if need be.
Also, does anyone know if the M60 or M62 flywheels are used for engine balancing? I'd like to put the lighter M60 flywheel on my new M62. I'm sure I'll have other questions as this build continues. Thanks for the help!
Brett
The manifold can be unbolted from the heads with the over-head wiring trunks, fuel rail and injectors still connected - the downside to this is that you have to bend the wiring harness at awkward angles.
