Everything works on the steering wheel fine.
Except for periodically the left hand turn tick/tock sound.
About 2 years ago in addressing this gremlin I replaced the stock. That was not the solution. It just goes silent and comes back on in the middle of a turn sometimes. Otherwise everything works...any ideas what the problem could be?

You are referring to the blinker making noise from the cluster, as the indicator flashes on and off, right? I believe the sound originates in the instrument cluster. The cluster would need to be replaced to fix the issue.

White94RX...So your saying the full cluster needs to be replaced?
Have you experienced this yourself? If I recall the cluster has one cable/harness that runs off of it...had to take out the dash several months back.
Thanks of the insight/reply. I didn't consider the cluster but the light module. This must not be a common problem? I couldn't find any other reported problems like mine.
Thanks again White94RX !

It happened on my E60 years ago. Only on the left blinker. I never fixed it because clusters are expensive, even at employee pricing!

Just about every control unit needs to be coded to the car. It’s part of modern auto repair. Especially in the cluster where mileage is stored.

Yeah, that issue came up in my reading. Of course I'll live with the ticker going silent from time to time.
If I feel adventurous I'll swap the cluster from another e83 just to see but I doubt it.
