328i 330i oil pump comparability

Hello,

I have been getting red oil lamp on startup, or at least in cold weather on my 328i. It was confirmed by hooking up an external gauge.
Anyway I have decided to replace the oil pump, I have one that came of a 330i, but I am not sure that they interchangeable.
S/N that I have on the "new" pump is 7501569.
Can someone shed some light on this matter.

What is the date of manufacture of your 328?

Reason I ask, is by looking at RealOEM.com, the 328 oil pump was produced until early 2000 and the new design (325/330) is not retrofittable.

It's a '98. I was browsing realoem as well before asking here - and I must say I am quite confused:
According to the lubrication system diagram my car comes with oil pump P/N 11417507350.
This pump is supposed to be superseded by 11417501568, which states that is "nonexchangeable retrospectively".
However when you click on 11417501568 it says that it is used in 3' E46, 328i, Sedan, M52, EUR, (AM51) among others.
