I've done a little digging and reseach but couldn't find anything about this. But for a 06 330i E90 they list 2 different ignition coils.
1) Through 03/06
2) From 04/06
My car was produced in in 06/06. I ordered the 2nd option ignition coils from Pelican Parts. Well come to find out the plugs don't match up. My new plugs have a guide in the center of the plug while OEM coils have an offset guide.
Has anyone had this problem before? Are they're any other differences between the coils minus this? The plugs themselves look to be the same 3 prong plug minus the guide. Can they be modified? Reason I'm asking is I'd like to have my vehicle back on the road before the end of the weekend.
I've ran into a few other small discrepancies while order parts before. But nothing like this. If anyone else has ran into anything like this before, is there anything else I should be cautious about before ordering.
This is the OEM coil, notice the guild offset to the left under the connector.

This is the coil I ordered, notice the guild is centered under the connector. From 04/06, and my production date is 06/06
