WOW, a year later from last post and still no answer on how to clear this inactive suspension warning. Finally after three years I have a sagging driver side, so can sensor cause this, as I do not hear pump try to inflate driver side, but if the X5 sits for any length of time, the passenger side will sink a bit too, but comes right back up when starting 03 X5. Will appear to stay up with no problem, can't hear pump when it is running, so why would passenger side go up, but driver side won't budge. Inflated both with diagnostics and both inflated, even more strange, stayed up for three weeks, but now driver side is sinking again. Any ideas out there. Is there a way to bypass levelers and just fill with same LBs' of air like the old days with air bag suspension.
^ I have the 2011 X5 D and ran into similar issue last month. It was just the rear air suspension that was dropping while vehicle was parked. I had extended MaxCare warranty and took it to the dealership this past monday. They fixed it along with a whole bunch of recalls....kept the vehicle in the shop for 2 days.
I was also getting the same error message intermittently. Now all good.
