Ferrari should've had Kimi ahead to give Thug the tow. Ferrari truly have a formidable car. Hoping for rain tomorrow.

Kimi's wife got into tears. I wonder how Kimi met her, sense we all know he is hard core introvert. I am sure she went after him

Goddamn, Merc spanked Ferrari on home turf. First the Legend spanks the Thug on lap 1, then mugs Kimi later. Thug makes too many mistakes, unlikely he takes WDC this year. Good job Merc and Legend.

LOL burn, how was this luck? Merc strategists, BOT and Legend engineered this victory.

Did he spank him or did VET make a mistake? Which one is it?

By your words, The Thug makes a mistake (which benefited The Legend), and The Legend gets no damage from the impact. How is that not lucky?

I was referring to all the mistakes The Thug is making this year. The overtake was on , slipstream was too good.

This is why Kimi needs to accept he is #2, play the support role as Bottas has accepted. Kimi got a lucky pole yesterday, but lacks the outright race pace.

he had the pace, what he didnt have were tires that actually lasted until the end of the race.

I agree. Even at the start Kimi was slower than Sebastian and Seb tried to overpass him and because of that collided with Hamilton. If Ferrari wants to win, they should of told Kimi to create a gap for Seb right away and use the car to block Hamilton. I think they didn't do that because it would look bad for Ferrari on their home track. But it obvious that Mercedes used Bottas to help Hamilton win.

If you listen to the radio chatter, consider his acceptance of sub-optimal stat calls that benefit Seb, to say nothing of Seb's general happiness with the paring, I don't think Kimi is under any illusions about his place in the team.

As for pace, no he doesn't have what he used to but, just as in the previous four seasons, when asked to come up with a better #2 driver to replace him, I've got nothing.

From what I read, there is a clause on Kimi's contract that says if he is on pole, he will be allowed to win, or at least race to win. That's why Vettel said in the post qualifying presscon that "Kimi is allowed to race to win, I think".

I think a large part of Hamilton's win is down to Bottas' superb defense against Raikkonen. Remember that Lewis managed to stay close to Kimi in the first stint because of DRS. After Lewis' stop he was around 5 secs. behind Kimi. Had Bottas not played the perfect wingman, Kimi could've controlled the pace and not burn his tyres too quickly. Kimi's only fault was he used too much of his tyres clawing that gap after his stop. He could've eased up a little to have around 3 secs to Lewis after his stop.

^ But Ferrari should've told Kimi when he was clear to stop pushing.

That rumor is getting a lot more traction. I doubt Kimi stays in F1 if he is out at Ferrari.

Terrible news if true, I've been more of a Kimi fan than an F1 fan. I tend to cheer for Ferrari, but if Kimi finds a ride somewhere like Sauber next year, I'll be cheering for him first.
