For those that have Hagerty (stated value insurance) you were most likely aware that the E31 was one of the few BMW not listed in the Hagerty Premier Classic Car Value Guide.
Well, I just got an email from Hagerty:
"You asked and we got to work. BMW 8 Series is now listed on Hagerty Valuation ToolsŪ."
This is all good as the values for the E31 has jumped in recent years and will certainly help accident claims with any insurance company.
The May 2018 values for my 1997 850Ci:
Concours: $52,500
Excellent: $35.400
Good: $14,400
I anticipate you will need too register an account on Hagerty to gain access to the Valuation Tool.

I believe Tom did most of the footwork on this - Thanks Tom!

I will second that appreciation for the effort, Thanks Tom.
I'm sure having a BMWCCA E31 Chapter helped also. A great reason to join
Also, Bring-A-Trailer "actual action sales with listing description" is a good source for individual E-31 valuation, however not as well categorized and graphed as Hagerty's "Premier Classic Car Value Guide".

I recently insured my '97 840ci with Haggerty. I got the base valuation of $16,000. This is full coverage (standard 100/300K stuff) & full glass replacement with zero deductible. Premiums are $580.00 for the year. My previous insurance was through Allstate. I told them I only drove it 3-5K miles per year but their lowest "mileage" policy was 8-9K per year. They were charging me $1975.00 per year :/
