    P0304 Check Engine Light

    2013 BMW 528i X Drive 59K miles
Check Engine Light (CEL) came on today and OBD tool said P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected.

Cleared the code and drove hard for about 15 - 20 minutes and CEL did NOT come back on.

Could the P0304 be a one off?

Since it has not come back on I do not think I have a bad ignition coil or spark plug.

As long as it stays off OK to just forget about it?

    Thanks.

I thinking clearing a code doesn't necessarily clear the problem. after a certain number of miles (around 50'ish) if there's a problem the code will re-appear. A bad ignition coil, spark plug, or a faulty or clogged injector would cause that code.

Replace the ignition coil on cylinder 4. If the plugs are still good, just clean them and reinstall.
