    M62 compression numbers for boost

Hey All, I'm considering the VF kit for my '98 540i at 130k miles. Compression numbers are all 184-195, so a max of ~5% difference between cylinders. Is that within what you'd consider "within normal limits for FI?"

Full reseal was finished about two months / 1000 miles ago. Also, new timing chains, noisy Zionsville full cooling kit, UUC clutch and flywheel/ M5 diff / prop-shaft / 540 axles combo.

Yeah that’s fine. Could be better really but most oem motors are about there.

Zack, change your location in your location. LOL, you moved from redneck county to greenneck county. I lived 2 years in Dothan/Enterprise. My neighbor was a moonshiner and made $4k a week and that was many, many years ago.

Thanks for your replies and feedback.

Jimmy, I've always been in a redneck county of Pennsyltuckey; I think you may have me confused with someone else. Your engine setup sounds...bananas, in the best way

LOL, Vollosso is also Zack. He is installing a custom turbo kit for my M62. Your compression was similar to mine. VF kits are somewhat low boost levels, 6-9 psi I think. My psi was around 8 and I had 550 rwhp on a Mustang dyno and 614 rewhip on a "make your own numbers" RMS dyno.
