Memebers known GM 5L 40-e...NOW BEGINNING TO SHOW UP 2018

How many BMW indies here? Common should have been a great many warning observations for the people who joined this "BimmerForums" ...I asked no more than 12 times about a purchase for $5k a 325 wagon.....The GM-5L40-E transmission is and has been failure....Thanks....you dedicated MORONS supportive for BMW forums...I have no more trust...for you. Donald Trump world..."cheat and be rewarded world".....go to hell...I'll continue my drive in my 1959 MGA-Twin Cam...

Not sure what identity politics has to do with this forum, post, thread, or German vehicle repair bills.

It IS a 15yo vehicle, with probably 150,000mi or more on engine/trans.
It absolutely amazes me that you are soo upset that it would require more than minor maintenance.
Transmissions do fail on every make and model ever made - GM,FORD,CHRYSLER,HONDA,TOYOTA,NISSAN etc...,
    and yes unbelievably, even BMW!!
Yes it sucks, but I guarantee you one thing,
a 1959 MGA-Twin Cam,1963 RAMBLER, or whatever other old school vehicle in your stable,
cannot compare to the handling+comfort+performance of a BMW - The Ultimate Driving Machine!

So it's now time to suck it up and repair your vehicle,
or sell whole or part it out, and use the proceeds to upgrade to a newer BMW,
but this time make sure it's 5 or 6 Speed manual shift, then it's on you when it fails!
