    Transmission 4hp24 filter

Hi guys i just bought a new filter and gasket for my car its a 91. Looks like i ordered the wrong filter from ECS. It looks like it might be for a later model. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable at all?

    Ugh. Thanks Shogun.

Note to self: Always double check realoem part number with the parts they say are for your car.

tell, them, in their fitment guide is written: *The above product applications have been written by ECS Tuning. All warranties, product application, fitment, and performance are the responsibility of ECS Tuning. For additional information see the terms of use.
But it is genreally clear that the same filter 24341422419 does not fit into all these transmissions

There was recently a similar case in Germany and after changing the filter there was a whining sound. Turned out to be the same situation. The 5HP30 filter has the suction pipe on the side, the 4HP24 has the suction pipe at the bottom, so the bottom pipe goes deeper into the pan, with the suction pipe on the side the pump also sucked air with the ATF.

Do any of you have experience in removing the transmission lines from the radiator? I could use some advice.

I got them loose. And i removed the heat shield next to them to give them more wiggle room. But looks like its getting hung up on around the engine oil pan. I've tried twisting them.

I cant see a way to get them out without bending them.

It looks like i have to pull them back toward the transmission.

there are some brackets holding the lines, these you have to remove first, then the trans line can be moved a bit https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=17_0602

Yeah I got both brackets off. But with the way the lines are bent. its getting hung up on the oil sensor on the oil pan and the power steering pump and the steering box. I just need a bit more space. Just not sure where I should get it.
