I have a Dinan cold air intake installed on my car. It's been on for about 3 months. Lately the car on cold start up revs high then revs low almost to the point of stalling then revs high again and after that it runs fine no problems. So I took it to BMW and they said it dropped no codes and they can't find anything wrong electronically or visually. I think they're trying to blame the intake. Anyway they are keeping the car and going to do a smoke test on Monday. I also called Dinan and they were puzzled that it runs fine after the reving issue. They also suggested the smoke test and removing and reinstalling the intake to see if that helped. Anyone have any thoughts ? Thank you.
It's odd that BMW told you that it didn't have any codes - there are always going to be stored codes that they can look at. Are you having the dealership reinstall the intake as well?

Well they've had the car for 3 days and still don't know what's wrong with it. They did a smoke test which showed no leaks. A BMW authorized shop installed it don't know if BMW will do that but i will ask.
