I actually got this last month but didn't make a thread until now.
2006 Imola/Cream 4.8iS with 136k. It's very solid mechanically, and overall condition is a 9.5/10 inside and out. I almost walked away from the sale when the expansion tank started leaking during the test drive (), but decided to patch it and chance the 1,300 mile drive back to Denver because of the overall condition of the vehicle.
Plans for the future:
- Find a set of Style 87 wheels (not a fan of the black power coated Style 168s it has now)
- Replace resonator with x-pipe
- tint front windows to match rears
- 18" wheel setup for winter

Nice looking X5. I like the wheels FWIW. You don’t see very many in red.
Congrats on the new ride! Great looking car and color. Thanks, guys!
Tidied up a few things to take the X5 off project status this week: new expansion tank, washer pumps, windshield, and some other little things knocked out. Just some steering wheel shimmy under braking to figure out at this point. Also, the nav screen works 95% of the time, but occasionally goes to a blank white screen or the image moves like an old VHS tape that needs the tracking adjusted.
Congrats! Always did love the 4.8 in red.
