Is there a hardtop available for Gen 1 Z4 roadsters?

    Hi gents,
Z3 owner here--curious about whether there was a hardtop (OEM or aftermarket) made for the rounder-taillight Z4 roadsters (I guess that's E85 to the initiated).
A quick Y or N will suffice, but photos and owner input would be really helpful.
    Cheers,
    Brad

There is an OEM one and at least one aftermarket one that I have seen. Expensive and hard to come by. Need the hardware kit installed to attach the hardtop. IMO, I haven't seen a hardtop that looks good on a Z4. They just don't have the right lines.

I see what you mean--I did a search and finally came up with a photo that shows what you suggested:

That area where the top meets the rear fender is a bit cumbersome...a straightish line where a curved fender surface is prominent looks awkward. I suspect it would look better when color-matched to the vehicle.
Is this the OEM example? It might suffice if I decide to trade up to a Z4.

That's the OEM hardtop. Here's a weird looking aftermarket one.

That's wacky. Drop the back of the top an inch or two (lower the height of the rear window to no higher than the front edge) and it would look slick. It's kinda bulbous, IMO.

I see a red Z4 riding around in my area with a white hardtop, it looks hideous. Its a 2.5 03, 04.

It seems like they were trying to make it look like a hybrid AMC Gremlin/Pacer. It makes the OEM top look great.

    Stubbornness is a virtue....

OMG, that is so strange looking... the person who designed that must have been 6'6" and a student who obsessed over abstract painting?!
