Z4 2003 Lock Issues (Drivers and Co-drivers)

I have had lock out issues and will not open issues for several years. I have to original key fobs and they are in working order. First the co-drive door would only open for the inside handle. Then the door would not unlock from either side. Spent several thousand at the BMW dealer to replace all the parts in the co-driver door and on their recommendation all the part in the drivers door. Now the driver door will not unlock from in or out. The are making noise like they really do not want to fix the new problems that never occurred in the drivers door before their repairs.
Similar problems for anyone else with the doors on a Z4?

It may be an issue with the relays in the GM5 module. See https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...xed-in-3-steps
Personally, I would just replace the relays, not try to clean them.

Definitely sounds like the GM5 relay
