BMW Diagnostic Cable/Software?

Afternoon,

Having owned (and currently own) VW's and Audi's, I invested in a legitimate diagnostic cable by Ross Tech, to use with their VCDS software. I'm wondering if a similar cable is available for my 2008 E90?

I have seen these, but does anyone have any experience with them?

A $15 K+DCAN cable from eBay works great with ISTA, INPA, etc.
Some people like to spend more on the cable from bimmergeeks.net; something about support, not sure what kind of support one would need for a cable. Maybe people try to plug it into the cigarette lighter.

Yes but it's not the same close though it's called kdcan cable and you also use other software
