Even more important than weight reduction, he has less power drains when the car is sitting. One of my favorite mods on these cars.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Prior to single battery conversion, ensure that the car’s electrical health is good, including a strong alternator, fresh fuses (including the 2 hidden fuses near the battery), and a good electrical ground strap on the engine. Other things to consider include: rebuilding general module with fresh capacitors, removal of phone module/harness, remove CD changer if not used, and the EDC computer/relay if not used.

If your car is 1994 or newer, I would also suggest either: removing the alarm siren, replace with a new unit, or potentially replace internal batteries. The internal siren batteries go bad with time, and have the potential to drain your car’s main batteries and trigger false alarms. The siren is located under the passenger side windshield cowl and can be accessed with the cabin air filter housing removed, earlier cars had a simple horn and this does not apply.

Isn't H8 the long battery? What about a single H6 AGM, the short battery from Advance?

A single H6 battery may be a little light for the e31.

Hey , i would like you to tell that you should go for h6,s because it,s better than h8,s in my opinion and the best place to buy these battery is walmart or autozone.
Also if you want to read more about car batteries then i would like you to suggest that you should definately read this source as i have also purchase my battery for my volkswagon vento after reading that source , it helped me a lot as they have described everything so perfectly and i hope it will definately work for you.

    Thankyou!

H8 will always be better than an H6 - You have quite an increase in actual plate size, which will give you more reserve power when you need it. There is an old saying: better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Also, going to a single battery, while feasible, is something I would not do either (see previous saying). BMW put two batteries in there for a reason...
