Does anyone have any real world track experience with the IRP v3 self centering shifter?
I am getting tired of the sloppy shifter and missing shifts.
I don't have the cash for a CAE right now and the IRP is closer to a price that I might be able to afford for next season.
I am mostly concerned with 3rd to second and being able to slam it against the reverse lockout and pulling back without getting blocked. Right now this is an autocross car.
I just want to be able to shift without getting locked out or the fear of getting the wrong gear.
I currently have nylon motor mounts and hard poly transmission mounts. It is better than it was but is is still not tolerable.
Wouldn't that be fun!!! I'd scream DOG BOX at every turn.

I had the IRP in my SE30 and liked it a lot. It doesn't have all the fancy adjustable gates and such that the CAE has. It does have the adjustable reverse lockout, but to be honest I never set it up as it seemed like you had to work pretty hard to get it over to reverse instead of 1st and I didn't see the point. The position relative to the steering wheel and the short throws were perfect. It did seem to take a little more effort to make the shift. (This is going from a completely stock setup to the IRP.) I didn't have a fancy DSSR installed, as this worked with my stock selector rod perfectly and I didn't see a need to make an upgrade there.
I sold the E30 and am building an E46, and I plan to put the IRP in there as well.
