Not that crazy about the little emblem screw covers (maybe some red reflector material would look better?), but aside from that, it looks ok, IMHO.
It's the only one I've seen so far that's not the same layout as the usual Hella/ACS/OE ones; it kinda reminds me of all the options out there for the Golfs and Jettas when I was a kid.
The guy wants all the money in the world for it plus exorbitant shipping charges.
Keep it
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
$30 shipping seems reasonable Thing looks tacky though.
those always look gross
I have one. It's very brittle and came damaged in shipping. Cool conversation piece. The seller has a few other pieces that were not included in my kit but considering it only works for euro plate set ups, I don't mind.
I had no idea these are commanding that type of money. Back in the day I always thought those reflectors looked cheap and tacky, I still do. I'm on the west coast and I wasn't alone in that opinion, I'm pretty sure that was the average consensuses around here in the 80's/90's. Funny how things change.
Some of them look decent when they look like the car came like that from the assembly line... The best ones I've seen so far are the E30's, but yeah, they're starting to get more expensive than the whole car
I suspect the "paperwork" (which is all electronic these days) to include a box in FedEx or UPS' system is more expensive than the fuel and trucker's pay to actually move it any distance. See: USPS Flat Rate.
I had one, dealer installed on my 540

Hijack to ask if anyone knows about a heckblende that is made by what looks like, AR PRESS? Slightly darker red than the tail lights, just wondering as I can’t seem to find anything online by this same name.

It's called Airpress, in germany. It's a legit business dating all the way back when the Berlin wall was still a thing. They made all sorts of heckblendes for the BMW, VW's and Mercs back then. It's not OEM, just aftermarket option (OE) for tuning and/or styling. But not less rare than OEM stuff, since I guess the production for old bimmers has halted long ago.
THANK YOU! Seems like a lot of these wear in the same unreadable way. Guess I’ll keep it around if I ever sell the car, hard to find...
