Shaking car ?

My car is: 745i 85


My car is shaking, So how can i balance to adjust the air, please enclose a picture of the location of air balance .

There's always members here to help but you really have to be more clear about the problem you're having-Reading it makes absoulitly no sense at all-

Be more specific, where is the car shaking, is the steering wheel moving side to side when the car shakes, is it in the wheels or front of the car??? ...

Sounds like he is asking about the AFM idle CO mixture adjustment, which is an allen screw at a corner on the top of the AFM housing. Although this shouldn't need to be messed with. A suddenly rough running car probably has other issues.

Thank you all for replying and I apologize for any misunderstanding.


I will try to explain the issue in details.


I’ve been having this issue for a week. Every time I start the car it shakes in idle. The whole car gets a severe shaking and It decreases when the car in motion or when I accelerate.


Now my questions are:
What would cause my car to vibrate or shake when idle? How to fix this issue?

It sounds like you have a misfire. How mechanically knowledgeable are you?

I had an injector plug fall off my V90 once, shook like crazy at idle and dead misfire cruising...check there first. These old EV1 plugs turn to dust as time goes on. Any 745i that I rebuild receives all new ones.

It sounds like you have a misfire. How mechanically knowledgeable are you?

I remembered something. I washed the car engine and when the car in motion, it stopped and shut down and then I changed the fuel bump relay and it worked well. after a couple of days, the shaking returns. The injector plug is clean and I checked that.

I've had engines do similar when power washing the engine, but it usually dried out overnight, and taking into consideration your location where it's HOT and dry it leaves me wondering- check your distributor cap and wires at the cap too, sounds like something may have gotten wet and if that's the case something could be loose lending itself to get wet. Loose plug wire, loose plug wire at a spark plug, loose distributor cap or wires...
