I was trying to replace the rubber hoses that are in the engine bay on my 82 320is, and I noticed the pressure side on the hard line is cracked right where
it goes into the bracket on the frame.....that would explain the gas smell.
So what options do I have? Can I cut and flare the line on the other side of the frame in the wheel well? Or is there a source for the hard lines?
I could not find anything on line so far.
thanks for any help,
jm

I got the Compression line fittings made by Parker, store nearby carried them and they were in the bins and very inexpensive, they are NLA, my spares for that day..
