Hi guys, I really need some advice.
[ by 'static' - I mean static noise / hissing / fiz noise ]
In my E65 I hear a static noise when listening to the audio.
Music from CD/AM/FM seems fine - no static noise. When I play music from AUX you hear the static in the background, interestingly enough when I pause the music and crank up the volume you can still hear it. Even without any cable plugged in. I have tried various cables and audio sources. Yesterday I agreed with the installation of DENSION 500S - BT ( it uses the MOST technology and I really hoped that the optic connection would completely eliminate this static noise) Honestly I thought it is caused by the analog AUX or some elec. distortion along the way. Today I tried the BT streaming and the static is still there !!! aaaggrrr!!!
What I did :
- took the L7 amp to the shop and have replaced all the capacitors, with full inspection
- bought a different ASK module
- bought a Dension gateway to eliminate the problem with Analogue AUX (since Dension is connected digital)
- did MOST reset
I appreciate any help.
How bad is it? does it get louder when you crank up the volume?
I too get background noice when using AUX because i need to have the volume much higher due to low signal input to the aux but the noice goes away almost entierly when i change all the settings in the sound menue to 0 (middle) and the same for the L7 equalizer settings wich is what creates the most background noice.
Try set all of that to standard 0 (middle on all sliders) and tell me if it does anything and also set the aux volume in the aux menue to the highest and always have max volume on youre phone or what ever device you are using so that you can have a lower volume un the car stereo.
