    E46- Brake pedal firm but no boost?

    Hi all, now that I've finished my E38 I have to fix my daughters E46. First issue is that her brake boosting function seems to be intermittent in operation. Randomly you go to brake but whist the pedal is normal and hard there is no boost! Then next time you go to brake, it will be ok!! Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Check brake booster hose for cracks.
