Both the C-pillars on the DINAN are broken. The tabs are snapped and a previous repair attempt by a PO has failed too. I got two C-pillars from the JY in great condition. However, they are covered in the usual grey felt material all the e38s have. One of the POs recovered this car with a different material, and it looks very nice, but I need help finding it to recover the C-pillars from the JY to match the current material in the car.
Below are photos of the material used in the DINAN by a PO. The material has a foam backing so it is automotive cloth. If anyone knows where to point me to source this material, please help. Thanks.

Hard to tell from the pix. One looks bluish, one grayish.
Close?

Looks like the headliner material using in a newer Mercedes
1998 BMW E38 740il - Vermont Grün Metallic, 150k miles, all stock. 11/98 build.
2011 Range Rover Supercharged - Rimini Red, Jet/Jet Interior.
2018 Mercedes GLE 350 - Diamond White, Soccer Mom kid-hauler.
1970 Chevy Chevelle - Pro-touring, 496ci BBC, custom everything.
Just fix the current c-pillar covers! I recently did that for both of them on my car using epoxy and HVAC duct sheet metal (any thin gauge metal would work, as long as you can work it).
Super easy fix and it's rock solid. Check my post about it: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...6#post30051766

The fabric is a grey color, slightly darker than the usual grey felt color.
The fabric on the current pillars is just fine, the plastic tabs on those pillars are completely broken and that's why I need to replace the pillars themselves. I was considering taking the fabric off and re-gluing it onto the JY pillars I got, but I'm afraid of stretching it.

Mine is a crosshatch pattern while this is striped. However, thanks for the lead, I'll search the website.

Hmmm. that may be a lot easier than trying to find the correct fabric. Thanks for the idea.

You are welcome. If you do choose to use HVAC duct metal like I did: cut the strip 2x the needed width and then fold it over, to make it more rigid (plus it holds bends better). Use pliers/fingers to bend and mimic as many contours as possible and then apply epoxy on the underside and several layers over the top = those anchors are not going anywhere!

Here is the stuff:

It looks identical to the Headliner in every Benz ive owned since 2012... this includes ML350, ML550, GLK350, C250, C300, GL450, CLS550, & GLE 350. You could probably find one of these vehicles at the junkyard and steal some yardage from it.
