Bought new fuel pump from Amazon, looks identical, but 1/16" shorter, won't latch in

I bought a new fuel pump and surge tank assembly I found on Amazon. It looked identical in every way to the original BMW pump assembly,...but it won't snap into the latch in the fuel tank,....turns out it is about 1/16 to 1/8" shorter than than the original, so the in tank snap or latch wont actually secure the pump in the tank.

Any Suggestions for a proper fuel pump without going to the dealer??
