Looking to run the Borg Warner S366SX3 on a M52 stroker I’m building. However its kind of a bigger/bulkier turbo than most of its size, I’m in search of reccomendations for a top mount manifold that’ll let me run this turbo without cutting into my hood or engine bay underneath. Anybody know of one thatll make her fit?
Good luck with that. Have you ever just set the turbo under the hood and looked at how much extra space there isn't?
I thought so too, but my buddy is running the rapid spool manifold with the s366, even asked before he bought it if it would fit, they shared pictures of it fitting and somebow his does not. Hits the hood still so I’m kindve just seeing if anybody on here has one they know fits before i start throwing cash around and risking it.
I wonder if the test fir car has old sagging engine mounts, and some people have new poly ones could make up the difference I suppose.
I considered many potential mounting solutions and ended up with running the S300 bottom mounted.

I run a top mount with a PPF manifold and 7675 turbo and I had to delete Ac !
RSI manifold in an E30 won't fit an S366 for sure... a 6262 Precision touches the hood as it is.
I’m also starting to think that the fitment issues may be related to the condition of the engine mounts in the car. I know aluminum tends to be a bit shorter in height but its more a street car than a track car and the vibration isnt a compromise I’m willing to make. However my buddy did have brand new oem mounts in the car when the turbo and manifold were i stalled. So that may be a contributing factor to the fitment issue. Anyone know if poly mounts are shorter in height?
im running a s363sxe, m52, e30, RSI manifold, condor delrin mounts
it DOES clear the hood just barely but i had to raise the pass side of the engine like 1/4" for the exhaust housing to fit. Everything is super tight. I need to remove the turbo just to get the valve cover off as the compressor housing is so close to one of the nuts. The compressor housing is stupid close to runner #1 too so I heat wrapped it. If it wasnt so cheap, I would be running a different turbo.

I'm running a S366 and RSI Manifold and it seems to fit fine. Hood closes good.

RSI s366 on both hoods, just massage the strut tower and send.
or replace passenger side engine mount with rev shift and lightly sand down the top of compressor housing if you are having issues
