Do I need to do anything to the car when I replace the MAF? Is it just plug and play? I heard something about warming the car up and speeding up to 5K rpm and back to 1 and doing that a few times for some odd reason.
Thanks for your inputStable.jpg
i dont know about the mafs having any procedure, the 5k rpm procedure
is for the dks.
That procedure is needed when changing throttle bodies, not when changing MAF's.

Thanks guys! And thanks for the comment on my "stable". I am car poor , but I love all my cars. I've rebuilt them all from the ground up, except for the 850. I've only done the interior on it. I painted the other 2 in my driveway with a Harbor Freight air compressor and spray gun. )) Took alot of sanding, but they look nice now.
I changed the MAF on Saturday and no more CEL. It used to die when I depressed the clutch pedal. The rpm's would go to 0 and the car shut off. It doesn't' do that anymore. I still get my 2221 code, but it goes off when i get above 3K rpm and depress the clutch. Drive a couple of miles and it comes back on , over and over and over and over again. It runs great, so I don't know what to do or how to fix it. I hope driving it doesn't cause any issues.
