Window switch upgrade plug

Can anyone identify the plug pictured here?

Since it's hardwired into the electrical harness there is probably an entire harness involved if you're talking about replacing the plug. The plastic looks good in the pic, I suggest releasing each female spade connector and cleaning well with DeOxit D3 and a small wire brush and then replacing it back in the connector. Is the green on the switch spades corrosion or is it artifact or exposure? Also, if it is indeed corrosion I would probably get a new switch and clean the plug as I mentioned. Then clean the spades on the switch and keep for an emergency spare.

I agree they do look good. Unfortunately this in't mine I have a 79 with the non lighted switches. They are just a little different in size but the pins/prongs are different. I'd rather rewire it into a new connector then just putting different spades on each wire. I've looked through realoem, but I wasn't able to find it individually. Probably there but overlooked.

I'd replace that switch if possible too. Looks to me that the PO was spraying contact cleaner into the switch while it was installed...corrodes pins from the top down when it washes out the contact debris. The female spades might still be good, Slofut's right about popping them out of the plug & checking them out.

I'm pretty sure I have a spare set of that harness & connectors on hand, but they're from a flood car. Might actually make it worse, LOL.

That looks exactly like the switches out of the 89 635 csi I just parted. Can't help with the wiring, but at least you know what to ask for. It's probably the same for the 7's and 5 series of the same year. I can post a pic of the switch if you need it.

I have the switches already and the wiring is there. Just want to cut the current connector off which is made for the early pinned style and put on the later style connector for the spaded switches.

Get good quality female spades with lock tabs and crimp and solder them on your wires, they should insert and lock into the new connector and should be like factory. I had a place that I was getting good quality spades from for my corvette project, but I can't find my bookmark. I'll look on my office computer tomorrow and post back if I find it.

I just realized you're looking for the plastic plug end. Get those from desktop dave and get new female locking spades in the proper size (google) and you're in business!
