    2000 bmw 528i 5speed

Okay so I have a 2000 bmw originally a automatic car 190xxx. I threw cylinder 6 through both sides of the block and found a manual donor car with 117xxx for $500 (2000 528i as well). So I wanted the 5speed as well as the engine so I swapped both myself into my car. I haven't had the extra cash to have the car reprogrammed for manual so right now I just have pin 1 &3 on the ews jumped so I can drive it. The car runs great! when i swapped the manual engine and transmission I used the manual engine harness as well so the transmission would plug up right. Only mods are m54b30 intake/ injectors/ and a ccv delete replaced with catch can. I installed facelift head light and tail lights as well but that was a long time ago and didn't come across my issue with the key fob until after the engine swap.

    My questions are,

What is keeping my key fob from working; Did I miss a plug somewhere?

And my shifter is to far foward, I read that I may have installed something 180° backwards in the shifter/linkage section but I'm not sure which part I need to spin around. Could someone either post a picture or explain in detail witch part I have to spin around.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my post. Sorry for the length.

The shifter lever is probably 180* out. Disconnect the link rod, spin the lever 180* and re-install the link rod.
Can't speak to the fob but uf you've defeated the EWS I suspect the issue lies there.

All I had to do was re sync the key fob and it started working again.

Which part is the shift lever? Is that the part the shift knob is directly hooked to?

You can see in this illustration how that lever is shaped and that if put in backwards will cant the shifter forward.
