Cleaning up my 2000 M Roadster project and pulled out the battery to clean up the plastic tray.
I have the original foam side piece but there's nothing clamping it down. When I check the parts diagram it lists a metal strap and the regular long bolt and metal bracket.
Does anyone have a pic handy or can tell me what's required for my battery?
Thanks!
Took a better look at the battery compartment and I guess there really is no method to secure the battery down other than just the weight of the battery.
On non-m z3 bracket and long bolt works almost like in this pic (bracket IMHO should be positioned differently), there are holes with threads in trunk floor to fit it to.
Bracket upside down in post #3
The rised lip should face down and press down on the lip of battery to hold in place
On my M Roadster, the battery is under a hard plastic cover that is bolted down under the trunk floor carpet. I don’t recall any other bracket.

Greg,
That's exactly how mine is.
Interestingly enough the parts diagram shows a hold down bracket and a strap.
By the way, my M Roadster is also an Imola one like your's!
