ODB vs UUC/VAC Oil filter lid

Looking to add an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge tothe m3.
Just wondering why people pick the oil distribution block vsthe oil filter housing lid with ports and vise versa.
How are oil changes withthe lid? How is installing the ODB? etc… Thank you.

I've had the UUC "Oil Center" as it's called on my '97 for over 10 years...oil changes are no problem, just unhook the oil temp connection and then change oil as you normally would...
    Estoril/Modena '97 M3...sold for the second time.
