    Front undertray/fender liner diagram

    Hey Zfolks,
I ordered replacement undertray parts for my '99 Z3 M and I'm not sure how some of the parts go together. Sorry for the inline links, but imgur doesn't play nice with BF these days.

I snapped a new radiator duct (51712496714) onto the bottom of the radiator.

    I installed a new undertray (51712491034).

However, something is still not right, as there's clearly a pocket for a bolt here that is supposed to attach to something.

I also bought these two fender liner parts (51718410029 and 51718410030), but I can't for the life of me figure out where they fit.
The parts diagram isn't especially helpful - it's #8 in this diagram.

I haven't been able to find pictures online, and the other S52 Z3M I looked at was missing all of the undertrays as well.
Can you help me figure out how this puzzle goes together?

Do you have an original radiator? The S54 radiator is a common drop-in replacement/upgrade for the S52 M's and will not allow you to use the duct without modification. This is because the S54 radiator has mounts on the bottom for an oil cooler and interferes with the duct. You can tell if you have an S54 radiator by looking at the underside of it. There would be an extension from both sides below the core where another heat exchanger could be mounted. An S52 radiator won't have anything extending below the core on the ends.

    Thanks for the response Vinci.
I don't believe the radiator has been upgraded (not during my ownership).
The duct (first part) has no issue mounting to the radiator bottom, if that what you're asking.
I mainly don't know where the two fender liner parts go, or what is supposed to mount in those two exposed holes in the main undertray.
The condenser also has some tabs with speed nuts that are not used, which I thought the fender liners would attach to, but I can't seem to figure out an intuitive way that they would mount.

I think you are missing two metal brackets which attach to the chassis rails and the undertray attaches to these, the small liners are fitted behind the wheel arch liner and as such are not visible with it in place.

I actually do have those brackets, and they bolt into a different set of points on the undertray (the rearmost IIRC).
The hole with the "pass-through" in the bottom undertray lines up with the rear hole on the "air duct" parts
Where exactly do the small liners mount? I completely removed the fender liner on the passenger side but did not see any obvious place for one of those small pieces.

If you have the brackets then the spare holes are for the oil cooler air duct fitted on the S50 and S54 models only.
