Upgrade to HK Amp question

For those of you who have upgraded your non HK Amp to a HK Amp, did you just plug it in? I purchased the HK Amp today, plugged in the two harnesses but no luck. I noticed that there is another spot in the amp to plug something else in but I don’t see anything in my car (1994 325i) that could plug in.

I hooked it up and wasn’t getting any sound. While everything was still on I disconnected the HK Amp and plugged the two harnesses back into my factory amp and I got sound. I’m thinking either the HK is shot or I need to plug in something else.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
