Uneven jacking

Went to put my '06 325Ci up on jack stands this weekend. Started jacking up the front at the front center jack point, and put in the jack stands under the front supports. Then, I jacked up the back center from the metal brace that runs under the differential. I noticed the car was leaning towards the passenger side, which I thought was odd. Later, when I went to remove the jack stands, this time I decided to jack up the rear by the differential case itself, this time the car leaned so hard to the passenger side I thought it might fall off the jack! Scary.

What would cause this? Bad differential mounts? Even when jacking from the metal brace that goes under the diff? Or am I just an idiot for using either of these locations as jack points??

I have had this thing on jack stands in the past, and used the brace under the diff as a jack point, and I don't recall it ever leaning to one side...

Time to inspect the suspension mounts on the left side. They were a failure point on the early E46's and your later model E46 may have the same problem.
