e39 3.0d wagon sls retrofit

hi , having a problem with some wiring. most wds and wiring diagrams arent workimg for me and im kimda newb at reading diagrams. common problem is with 2 wires , 1goes to instrument cluster and 1 to gm3 , but what goes where and to what pin , im having a high instrument cluster with 3 connectors. sls module wires are red with stripe on it(cant remwmber atm what color is stripe) and white wire with red stripe and yellow dots.

5v supply, possibly or it's ground switched. probe with oscilloscope and see what it's doing.
