How do you kno when you need a new one e30 any signs? Besides leaking oil

First see if bolts are loose. If that doesn't work then try new gasket.
If the gasket is soaked in oil, it's no good.

unless its a rubber one. then just wipe it down and retorque.
probably cork though so try tightening but plan on paying the 15 bucks and replacing it
No e30s again.
When tightening valve cover gaskets, do not overtighten. Here is an article on valve cover gaskets

You should probably replace it the next time you adjust the valves. I'm guessing here is that it should be soon.
