77 and 82 lower valance?

Hi: I need to replace the lower valance on my 82 e21 320is. There is a good one at the local
pick and pull, but it is from a 77 320. Will that work, or will it not fit right?

Well that is not good. Will most likely just get it and see if it fits; not sure where I would get an 82 valance cheap anyway.

Honestly I cannot remember back then when I was messing around with an early valance. I know they are different part numbers and have different slots in the front but I don't recall if they actually mount differently. I don't think the front of the early cars are different in terms of mounting points.

If it is cheap and you can pick it up, you may be able to definitively tell us all if in fact this can be done.

Well, went to the junk yard; and they just crushed the 77 last week; Can't believe the
number of good parts that were on that car.....going to have to fix mine, or find one on the forums

I have a 78 and 83 here. To the eye, they look exactly the same. Not sure if they are or not?

BTW, I have one from my 83 that I could sell.
