After taking off my sterring wheel and taking out my instrument cluster today and reinstalling when I turned key to off position the engine didn't turn off. I jostled the key in the switch and reached behind the cluster and hit those wires too. Switch bad and just a coincidence? Did i pinch something? Thoughts?
It does sound like you pinched something. I'd repeat the out and back in process and see if the constant running issue remains.

Seems to have cleared itself for now.
I'd suggest replacing the ignition switch. I had the same issue, turned the key to off, kept on running.. Pull the cover off the steering column, and it's exposed for replacement if I recall. Off the top of my head, around $100 give or take.
