I guess these forums are dead
Most likely, everyone is enjoying summer. Visit YouTube and you will find excellent videos on how to tackle this job. Just search in YouTube for "bmw e90 valve cover gasket replacement". I have done this job twice: once just to replace the cover to engine gasket (90k miles)and again the replace the entire valve cover (200k miles). All my engine oil leaks through front and rear engine crankshaft seals went away the second time. The rear valve cover ventilation hose is very tricky to remove: just be patient. I suggest to remove the wipers and plastics all the way to the edge of the windshield. Snip off a plastic corner of the e box (see videos). Order from Amazon a set of flexible 1/4 inch drive sockets. Remove EGR valve (order replacement engine gasket) and radiator reservoir tank.
Yea thanks for the reply but I'm not sure you read my post. I know how to service the valve cover gasket. I was asking are there any type of affordable upgrades or replacements I can do while I have to car tore down as such.
And I waz hoping to invoke some nice car conversion... My fault.
