2001 530i 5pd, Sport Pkg, Silver on black, excellent shape

    SOLD SOLD SOLD

For Sale: 2001 BMW 530i – 5 speed manual, sport package sedan

    VIN: WBADT53481CE91003
    Build Date: 03/2001
Mileage: 119,xxx miles (will go up slightly as I do drive it occasionally)

I am selling my 2001 BMW E39 530i. It is a true sport package car with a great color combo and a manual transmission. It is a almost completely stock, well maintained, “low” mileage car. It has been an excellent car for me for the past few years, but I do not drive it much more and it sits mostly in my garage. I keep it very well maintained (see lower list for details) and have only performed smaller modifications to the vehicle. It runs and drives reliably and is still very smooth and comfortable. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere in the country. I welcome any potential buyers to come inspect & drive the car. I also welcome pre-purchase inspections. As the shop foreman of a Porsche/BMW Independent facility, I am happy to show the vehicle at my shop on a lift. Please contact me if you wish to see the vehicle. No check engine light codes, ready for to pass emissions if needed.

Recent Maintenance List: (All performed within last 24 month or 15,000 miles, I have the specific miles & dates for each item. Note, this is not the complete list, I can provide my complete list/spreadsheet if desired)

    • Redline 5W40 oil
    • Redline D4 ATF (for manual trans)
    • Redline 75W90 diff fluid
    • Mahle engine air filter
    • NGK spark plugs
    • Hengst fuel filter
    • Mahle cabin filter set
    • Continrental drive belt
    • Continental A/C belt
    • Rebuilt ABS control unit
    • ATE typ 200 brake fluid & clutch fluid
    • ECS Tuning stainless steel brake hose set
    • Textar coated brake rotors (front & rear)
    • EBC yellow brake pads (front & rear)
    • Continental Extreme ContactSport summer performance tires (235/45R17) - approx 10,000 miles on them
    • Front right wheel bearing
    • All four front control arms replaced with poly bushings for the failure prone rear bushings
    • Tie rod assemblies
    • 4 wheel alignment
    • Rein final stage blower resistor
    • BMW OEM Upper intake boot
    • Upper radiator hose
    • Coolant Flush with BMW OEM Blue coolant
    • Valve cover gasket & grommets
    • Mass air flow sensor
    • Bosch alternator
    • BMW OEM rubber transmission mounts
    • BMW rubber front floor mats
    • Plus much more...

    Modifications:

    • Eibach Swaybars (front & rear)
    • Turner Motorsports adjustable front endlinks
    • E38 Steel swaybar brackets – rear
    • UUC EVO short shifter & ZHP shift knob (not very short, almost feels like it is factory, very solid feeling though, I really liked this kit)
    • ECS Tuning wheel stud kit
    • 3mm wheel spacers
    • UUC Clutch delay valve
    • Polish and seal headlight assemblies

The Issues: (nothing major here, just small things to note, mostly cosmetic issues)

    • Currenly has sport seats from another E39, they are not heated. I do have the original seats that are heated and do work. I can install if requested. Both sets of sets are included with the sale. The original comfort seat for the driver's side has some lower plastic trim coming undone. I just liked the look & feel of the sport seats better
    • The rubber trim around the windshield is cracking, it is just trim, not the actual seal for the window
    • Style 42 wheels have the typical clear coat peeling issue, still good wheels that balance wheel, just a cosmetic issue
    • Common headlight adjuster failure, the plastic adjusters don't move the lights properly, headlights function fine otherwise
    • Two small dents, one on the passenger front door and the other above the left rear wheel. Also has the typical small paint chips, to be expected on a 17 year old car

Overall, this is an excellent E39. I always thought the 530i was the best of the E39s as it was the perfect blend of sport, comfort, reliability and cost. It is fairly quick and handles very well. I hope it can go to a new owner that will enjoy it and take care of it as I have.

I am asking $6800 cash. Vehicle is sold AS-IS with no warranty. Clean VA title in hand.
