Not that long ago I replaced my headliner. It's actually a lot easier than I thought, it just consumes a lot of time. It can be done alone, but you will need a second person to get it out of the car (this is actually the hardest part, along with reattaching it at the rear end side)

Looking for additional input as to what would be good to replace on a 30 year old BMW, as well as the part numbers for those ever so important 2 plastic nuts for the diagnostic plug that prevents it from rubbing on the body, destroying the protective sheathing and setting the whole car ablaze with a nice short...thanks fellas!
