Not that long ago I replaced my headliner. It's actually a lot easier than I thought, it just consumes a lot of time. It can be done alone, but you will need a second person to get it out of the car (this is actually the hardest part, along with reattaching it at the rear end side)

Appreciate all the input guys. Seeing as how this car is 30 years old, I think it's time to refresh many of the major parts. The list so far:

BMW Water Pump - Hepu 11519070761
BMW Water Pump Gasket - Victor Reinz 11511265654
BMW Fan Clutch - Behr 11527831619
    BMW Fan Blade (E36 E46) - coolXpert 11521712058
    BMW Radiator - Nissens 60597A
BMW Radiator Hose Lower - OEM Rein 11531713221
BMW Radiator Hose Upper - Rein 11531722682
BMW Coolant Hose - Febi 11531266459
BMW Black Vacuum Hose (1 Meter) - CRP 11727545323
BMW Distributor Rotor - Bremi (OEM) 12111734110
BMW Distributor Cap - Bremi (OEM) 12111725070
    BMW WR8LC+ Spark Plug - Bosch 7909 x 6
    BMW Auto Trans Mount - Febi 24711131663 x 2
Instrument Panel Light Bulb - Osram 2721MF x 16 (i'm going to do this once for every bulb and be done with it)
    BMW Instrument Bulb - Genuine BMW 07119905358 x 3
    Instrument Panel Light Bulb - Osram 39118 x 6
    BMW Hood Support Strut (735 740 750) - Stabilus 51231908465 x 2
BMW Chain Tensioner - Genuine BMW 32421707199 (because knowing my luck I am going to be stripping this...)
BMW Chain Tensioner - Genuine BMW 64551714458 (same deal here)
BMW Accessory Drive Belt Fan and Alternator - Genuine BMW 11231711090
    BMW Accessory Drive Belt Power Steering (524td 535i 735i 735iL M3) - Genuine BMW 11231709638
    BMW A/C Drive Belt (735i 535i) - Contitech 13X855
BMW Alternator Idler Nut - Genuine BMW 12317677914 (again, will probably destroy this)
BMW Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor - ATE 34331150922 (leaking already)
BMW Brake Pressure Switch - ATE 34351182270 (leaking already)
BMW Brake Pressure Accumulator - ATE 34331162054

Grand total thus far is $735 (what are the odds, right?)

Looking for additional input as to what would be good to replace on a 30 year old BMW, as well as the part numbers for those ever so important 2 plastic nuts for the diagnostic plug that prevents it from rubbing on the body, destroying the protective sheathing and setting the whole car ablaze with a nice short...thanks fellas!
